The audience play a big role when it comes to promoting films and making them as big as they become, because without the audience nobody will hear about the films.
Audience also play a big part if the film does well or not because if they do they give a good review on it and go off and encourage friends to go and watch but if they dont like it they tell people to not watch (WORD OF MOUTH) which also depends if its pulled out of cinemas early due to lack of people going to watch or if they extend the time of it beeing in the cinema because it was a success.
The audience usually promote movies through social networking sites such as:

- Reviews
Another way the audience promote their favourite movies is by buying their products such as Tshirts,bags, Jewellery etc.... and also attend the premiers of the movies, going to watch them in the cinema, Buying the DVD's, watching them online and telling friends and family (WORD OF MOUTH) and downloading the movies soundtracks on iTunes.
Some movies sometimes have a specific Target audience they are trying to reach out to such as: Teenage Girls/Females, Teen Boys/Men, Elderly People.
