I will be doing a review on the movie Bad Boyz II which is a sequel to the movie Bad Boyz starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence the genre of the movie was mainly an action movie but also had a comedy genre to it. The film was directed by Micheal Bay and was released on July 18, 2003 and at the box office earned 200 million worldwide and was nominated at the MTV movie awards in 2004 for "Best Action Sequence". The story was written buy Marianne Wibberley, Cormac Wibberley and Ron Shelton. The film is about two miami detectives Marcus Bennett (Martin Lawrence) and Mike Lowery (Will Smith) investigating the flow of ecstasty into Miami.
The film genre was an action movie which was replicated really well in the film, it involves explosions, weapons such as guns and car chase scenes. I think the film kept the audience engaged because it was an action movie the pace of the movie was very fast and kept the audience on their feet. The film contains some strong language and is 148 mintues long. The budjet for the movie was $130 million.
Target audience
The target audience is mainly aimed at 15+ because of the strong lanuguage the film contains so it will have a specific audience that its aimed at and suitable to watch. It also aimed at people who are a fan of the genre action movie. The audience is also aimed at people who were fans of the first movie Bad Boyz and who are fans of the actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

The positive views came from critic Ellen A. Kim wrote that the film was "mindlessly fun... If you like this type of movie, that is."
Since the film's release, it has been well received by audiences, praising the film's action and humor.
