The Invisible art analysis

What is crosscutting? Cross-cutting is when you cut through two different scenes, seeing whats happen in both places e.g The two people who are climbing the mountain we cross cut from each person to see their progress, which builds up anticipation for the viewers.

What are reaction shots? Reaction shots is something when an action is going on and we have an audienece view in the film and we cut to see their reaction on what is going on.

What is seamless editing? Seamless editing is something where their is so much drama going on, the viewers dont really notice there is so much editing going on because so much is happening all in the scene.

What is flashback and what does it achieve? Flashback takes the audience from one point in time to another, they are often used as a back story, a moment in the characters life which explains how they got to where they are now.

What is jump shot? When an object in the film seems big but we dont see what the object is until the camera shows us the object and its actually small, and seen as a joke for the viewers.
