Treatment - HMV Closing Down most of their stores
Radio: BBC 1Xtra
Audience : 15-30
Facts: Problems that people are downloading music more than going out to buy the albums at the shop, so sales are not being boosted up and people are downloading illegally.
Interview: Someone with a professional background/someone who works in the HMV store.
Students who download music illegally.
Treatment: Blockbuster Closing Down
Radio: BBC Radio 4PM
Audience: 18-35
Facts: Blockbuster being closed because people are watching movies illegally online or just waiting for it to come on TV, so people are not going out to rent movies so their sales are bad and causing their stores to close down and people are losing jobs from that
Treatment: University having to pay £9,000 a year.
Radio: BBC Radio 4PM
Audience: 18-25
Facts: Before Universities you didnt have to pay that much money to go Uni, but now you have to pay a lot, which people cant really afford in a year, which has become a big issue, because people who want to go to university cant go because they dont have the money.

Channel Ident Evaluation
For this assignment, I had to create a channel ident for City Of Westminster College.
Firstly we got into groups and we had to come up with an idea of what our channel ident could be about. We produced mind maps showing all our different ideas and what kind of animation techniques we could used. We decided to use 'cut out' animation for our channel ident as we liked this type of animation technique.
We then came up with a concept that there would be a puzzle and someone is trying to figure out the right word to do the puzzle. The person would make 2 mistakes, the first mistake was writing 'Media' then the word wrong would come up and then a pair of scissors would get rid of the wrong word then the person would try again this time it would be 'BTEC' then the word wrong will come up again and the pair of scissors would get rid of it then finally they would get the word right which is 'City Of Westminister'. However having views from other people and our teacher people did not really understand what was going on in the Ident so we had to come up with another concept.
The next concept we still used the cut out animation but this time the concept was the person was being timed so at the beginning we wrote something like '1.2,3 GO!' so the person had to go through 4 different piles to find the letters and we used a sort of ticking time theme song to go with it and at the end showed the City of Westminister logo. I think with this one it was easier to understand because of the '1,2,3 GO!' that we used showed the idea we were going for and also how fast we made the cut out animation.

- second time round I think our channel Ident was easier to understand than the first
- I think we were creative with our story
- It was sort of a struggle to come up with a second idea
- hard to find a suitable soundtrack
Vox Pop Proposal
Vox Pop Proposal
For this assignment brief we assigned groups of 3 and we had to come up with 5 different questions for our vox pop and interview a few people.
The 5 Questions were:
1) what do you think will occur between the 21st and 23rd of December 2012, bearing in mind the 2012 phenomenon?
2) who do you think he's the best premier league singing?
3) why do you think he's the best premier league signing?
4) do you think Roberto Di Matteo sacking at Chelsea was hard or do you think he deserved to go?
5) do you think GTA5 is going to be the game of the year?
After doing that we went to record and interview a few people based on all of the questions.
When filiming we decided on the different angles that we would use such as close up, wide shot, mid shot or extreme close up. We chose to use mid shot so you could see both the person the is asking the questions and the person who is being interviewed.
We then interviewed 3 different people who have knowledge on football and could give some good answers on the questions we would ask. We used a microphone so that we would get their voices clearly and you could hear what they were saying. We also used a tri-pod so that we did not have to keep on moving the camera all the time.
After we finished filiming I imported the video onto final cut pro to begin editing. I edited out parts that werent needed and gave some introductions and a closing at the start and the end of the video. I used some fade-in and fade-out techniques for transitions for each scene.
The next part of the assignment was to edit the audio on Pro tools. I had to seperate each person such as the person doing the interview and the 3 other people we interviewed. Once that was all done I went to the mixer to decided wether I liked the level of the sound or to change it up a bit, after doing that I bound the files and then Imported the files back to Final cut pro and used the audio that I edited on Pro tools onto it and then added a soundtrack to go with it.
